2026 NOVEMBER ELECTION
United To Win!
Our Plans for 2026 - and we're here to recruit you
The El Paso County Democratic Unity Campaign has long been a cornerstone of our general election organizing efforts. As we prepare for the upcoming election cycle, we are expanding the program to ensure it is comprehensive, community-driven, and focused on sustained voter engagement across El Paso County.
This year’s Unity Campaign will focus on five core pillars of organizing designed to reach voters where they are, strengthen community engagement, and ensure Democratic victories across the ballot.
We have a lot of other roles how you can help to get out the vote!

Canvassing – Block Walking Our Neighborhoods
Our canvassing program will focus on traditional door-to-door block walking across El Paso County.
Key priorities include:
- Building Neighborhood Team Leaders who will organize specific areas of the county.
- Conducting consistent block walks in targeted neighborhoods.
- Reaching a broad voter universe—from reliable Democratic primary voters to infrequent voters who need additional engagement.
- Ensuring voters hear directly about our local candidates, particularly in areas where there is Republican opposition.
This program may coordinate with the Texas Together program, but our local goal is to maximize direct voter contact and strengthen Democratic turnout.

Phonebanking - Calling our Neighbors

Our phone bank program will expand voter contact by reaching voters who may not be available for in-person conversations.
Key priorities include:
- Creating a dedicated phone bank team operating three to four days per week.
- Hosting consistent evening phone banks across El Paso County.
- Contacting multiple voter universes, including active Democrats and infrequent voters who need encouragement to participate.
- Building a strong volunteer leadership structure to sustain the program through Election Day.

Vote915 & New Registered Voter Outreach
Registering voters is only the first step—we must ensure they actually cast a ballot.
Through the Vote915 initiative, we will focus specifically on newly registered voters and voter engagement.
Key priorities include:
- Establishing a Vote915 Committee dedicated to outreach and engagement.
- Developing strategies to better utilize Vote915.com as a voter education and mobilization tool.
- Implementing targeted outreach to newly registered voters.
- Continuing voter registration efforts while ensuring follow-up engagement with those voters.
This pillar ensures that newly registered voters become consistent participants in our elections.

Community Organizing – Engaging Neighborhoods
Community organizing focuses on bringing political engagement directly into neighborhoods.
Key activities include:
- Neighborhood house parties and meet-and-greets
- Community gatherings hosted by local volunteers
- Neighborhood-based organizing led by team leaders
- Local block walks and volunteer recruitment

- Opening "Grassroots Offices" around El Paso County lead by volunteers.
In addition, a Public Events Subcommittee will coordinate larger activities, including:
- Candidate forums
- Countywide organizing events
- Get-Out-The-Vote rallies and public gatherings
These efforts will help build excitement, visibility, and engagement for Democratic candidates throughout El Paso County.

Relational Organizing – Mobilizing Our Networks
Relational organizing focuses on encouraging people to mobilize the voters they personally know.
This pillar will expand our work with Blue Texas relational organizing tools, including the Reach app.
Key priorities include:
- Ensuring volunteers sign up for relational organizing platforms.
- Training volunteers on how to use these tools effectively.
- Encouraging supporters to contact friends, family, and coworkers about voting.
- Tracking outreach to ensure voters within our networks are engaged.
Relational organizing allows us to significantly scale outreach, ensuring that trusted voices help mobilize voters.

Supporting our addtional efforts
While many traditional roles, such as engaging voters, hosting events, and using apps, may not fit everyone's abilities or time commitments, there are still ways to assist our 2026 Unity efforts!
Key priorities include:
- Be part of our voter protection team! We will need countless poll watchers to ensure our vote is protected.
- Help us as office support at our headquarters! Our office is volunteer-run, and sometimes our regular office leaders cannot be there to keep it open. Let's plan a regular hourly schedule to keep our office open and available to answer calls, conduct research, and assist with upcoming events.
- Help our events with resources by becoming a comfort captain. We always need water and snack donations for our office, blockwalks, phone banks, etc. Consider helping the team to keep our energy up!
- Help our candidates by being our sign distribution team! We will eventually receive signs to deliver to voters and to the polls. We will need volunteers who will help distribute those items.
- Become a sustaining El Paso Democratic Companero Donor! Make a small monthly contribution to help our efforts by visiting our site here.

- Help your own way!
Have an idea, let's come up with a proposal to see what we can do to support your idea to get out the vote.
